ugh. i have to wake up in the "B.C." tomorrow morning. only to sit in class for FOUR HOURS. Suffering for Jesus.

On the plus side, i've fixed my coffee mug, so I no longer need hit the side to make it not stick. If you haven't seen it, my mug is a monster. It's called the "road warrior." I am road warrior. Experience my caffeine goodness. Muahaha.

Anyway. It's late. Actually it's not. But I've got to be up at the B.C. for the N.T. at the W.S.

Soswazmo forever. Que la basura?

Good Night Dark Continent!

Wow. So Hebrew's really really hard.

Theological gem of the moment:

Genesis 25:28
"Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob."

Ok, here it gets a little brainy. But try to follow. The verb "loved" in "loved Esau" is in the perfect tense. That means that the action is already completed. However, the same word "loved" in "loved Jacob" is in the infinitive construct. This type of verb describes CONTINUOUS action in the tense of the sentence. The qualifier "who had a taste for wild game", when coupled with the verb in the perfect tense, gives a very temporary feel to Isaac's love for Esau. However, Rebekah's love for Jacob was continuous, and continued on, even during Jacob's exile.

Funny what Hebrew can teach you, eh?

Ok. time to sleep. Weekend, weekend, here i come.

Favorite song of right now:

Offering
Third Day

Magnificent, holy Father
I stand in awe of all I see
Of all the things You have created
And still You choose to think of me

And who am I that you should suffer
Your very life to set me free
The only thing I can give You
Is the life You gave to me

This is my offering
To You, Lord
This is my offering
To You, God
I will give You my life
For it's all I have to give
Because You gave Your life for me.

I stand before You at this altar
So many have given You more
I may not have much I can offer
But what I have is truly Yours

OH MY GOSH. The nuke went off on "24." It's one of the best shows I've seen. Back to work.

Dang it. I almost finished the crossword today. The only one I couldn't get was "When push comes to shove." It was one of those really long ones. Doh.

NEWSFLASH! Nate and the Blue Streak (the Prelude) avoid death and possible body damage by mere inches on McClellan Rd!

Yeah, so i'm driving to go pick up Katie, driving down McClellan Rd. Before I know it, a brown Mercury Sable is screeching around the corner, losing control. He's in my lane, so I've got to move! I head for the curb, only to blow out my right front tire. Luckily, other than that, there was no other damage to the Blue Streak. As I check my rear view mirror, I see the other car spinning around out of control. He hits the metal guard rail that's in front of a large tree. His car got JACKED. So the cops show up and evaluate the scene. I'm sitting there like an idiot in the middle of the road, trying to change my tire, but i can't get the locking pin off of the spare. My dad shows up with the floor jack, and we've got the spare on in no time. We lower the Blue Streak on to the spare tire, and *psssssssshhhhhh*. There's a leak in the spare. DOH! So the cops block off traffic, as me and the Blue Streak hobble into the McClellan Ranch Park parking lot. We get all my stuff out of the Blue Streak and leave it there whilst we get the tire patched.

Turns out the kid was on a provisional license. He had a passenger, who proceeded to bolt from the scene as soon as he could. Jacker. The driver offered to pay for a new tire, but I figure, he's probably in enough trouble as it stands, so I said, "don't worry about it."

Argh. It's only monday.

Cool. It's 03/03/03. How often does that happen? Hehe. I suppose it's only happened three times. Did the 30 Hour Famine this weekend. Didn't think it was going to be that taxing on me, but it's a completely different ballgame when you're fasting with a dozen high and jr. high school students as opposed to college students. It was fun though.

After I got home, i hit the couch. It was between 8:30 and 9:00, I don't remember. The next thing I know, it's like quarter to midnight. It felt like I had been sleeping for about half an hour, yet three hours had passed. What the cheese!?! On the plus side, it was one of the most satisfying naps I'd ever had.

New week, new stuff to do. Luke paper, Hebrew exam and homework. Blech. Happy March, everyone. Put something in my chatterbox in the "stuff" section if you have time.
